Glass flake success continues

Glass flake success continues

Press Release
24 Jun 2011
The Royal Albert Bridge, which carries the main railway line across the River Tamar between Devon and Cornall, is set to continue the glass flake success story for NGF Europe.

Customer W&J Leigh, will supply a three-coat glass flake epoxy system for the project to refurbish the bridge, requiring around six tonnes of RCF 015 glass flake.

The work will involve removing up to 30 coats of paint from more than 20,000 metres square of the structure before the epoxy system can be applied.

The project follows closely on the heels of Runcorn Viaduct, which used RCF 2300 glass flake.
